The holiday celebrating mothers, motherhood, and the maternal bond will be celebrated on the 31st of May in France, and the 10th of May for Canada, Australia, and New Zealand in 2026.

The day is celebrated on different dates worldwide, there are far too many for me to list here. Every country has its traditions for the day celebrating motherhood but in Britain, it was tradition for children to collect violet flowers to give to their mother on Mothering Sunday.
